FIN awarded contract for Biomass Energy Centre
FIN are delighted to be awarded the contract for a 1.45MW district heating energy centre. The energy centre is exclusively biomass fuelled and is the heart of a district heating scheme serving apartments, leisure centre and shopping in an extensive village development at Ballisodare, Co. FIN have been awarded the mechanical installation for Pennyburn Pumping Station by Black & Veatch, FIN achieved preferred bidder status after demonstrating engineering capability and competence, with emphasis on strong project management. (May 2007)
FIN Plantrooms provide water for new Coca-Cola Plant
FIN have recently delivered two packaged pump plantrooms which will provide Deep River Rock from boreholes to the new production facility at Knockmore. The plantrooms are fully automated with sophisticated plc controls to maintain a constant pressure supply of water to the bottling lines. (April 2007)
Packaged water boosting Plantroom
FIN have recently supplied a packaged water boosting plantroom as part of an expansion programme on a government estate site. The plantroom maintains a constant pressure supply of water to the new facility irrespective of demand and provides filtration down to 20 microns.

Green light to expansion
FIN announce the opening of an office in ROI and appointment of a regional sales manager Liam Kearns. Liam will be specialising in packaged off-site solutions incorporating renewable energy technologies for medium to large scale projects such as district heating energy centres and packaged plantrooms for hospitals, schools etc. (March 2006)
More FIN skids in Pharmaceutical Plants
FIN have supplied another skid on a recent pharmaceutical plant expansion project in southern Ireland. The skid provides LTHW for process heating and has a capacity of 1.5MW with 100% standby. After completion of manufacture, the skid underwent a rigorous inspection and FAT regime before despatch to site. (December 2006)
Fast Track Plantroom ensures no disruption
A FIN packaged plantroom has been installed at the Ulster Hospital Care of the Elderly Building as part of a site-wide decentralisation scheme. The application of a FIN off-site solution with rapid installation and changeover minimised site works and ensured the elderly patients did not suffer any disruption.(June 2006)

Our Integrated Management System covering Engineering, Project Management and Off-site Solutions has been certified by BM Trada. The System incorporates the requirements of the Quality Management System ISO:9001:2000, the Environmental Management System ISO:14001:2004 and the Health and Safety at Work System OHSAS 18001:1999. Another FIN Project is a GEM
The Agriculture & Food Science Centre have received the Phoenix Natural Gas GEM Award for Enterprise in Energy Management in recognition of the pioneering choice of modular plantroom technology from FIN Engineering for their Newforge Lane site. FIN Engineering designed and manufactured the plantrooms to an exacting specification and delivered them to site ahead of schedule.

New Packaged Plantrooms for Agricultural & Food Science Centre
Two packaged plantrooms have been delivered a week ahead of schedule to the Newforge Lane site to meet the required heat-on date. Both units were designed and manufactured in our Saintfield Road facility and delivered and positioned on a Saturday to minimize disruption. (September 2005)
Forklifts are Good to Go in Craigavon
A new range of forklifts by Nacco Materials Handling are being driven off the production line thanks to a recent FIN turnkey project. Working closely with the client production engineers, an integrated fluids handling and dispensing system was designed, installed and commissioned to ensure each truck is filled with the correct amount of petrol or diesel, engine oil, hydraulic oil, differential oil and coolant at the final assembly stage. Upgrade for the Heart of the Production Process
3M's facility at Bangor has a new heart; an upgraded thermal fluid system that serves the production process around the clock. An innovative turnkey solution was required to ensure that the installation took place during a tight shutdown window and was fully operational for the re-commencement of production. (August 2005)
Natural Water Supply for Soft Drinks
Coca-Cola Bottlers (Ulster) Limited in Lisburn have secured their water supply by the installation of two borewells to supplement the existing system. The turnkey project by FIN included borehole testing, capital proposal preparation and design, procurement, installation and commissioning of the new systems which have new dedicated plantrooms and integrated controls. New Packaged Plantroom to Victoria Square
FIN have set down the first packaged plantroom associated with the Victoria Square Development. The plantroom was craned onto the roof of the Littlewoods building in Ann Street and provides heating and hot water. (May 2005)
Direct to the Bottle
A new water treatment and distribution installation is now up and running at the Coca-Cola Bottlers (Ulster) Limited Lambeg Plant. This state of the art fully automated system, designed and installed by FIN, is the first of its kind in Ireland enabling Deep River Rock to be delivered from the borehole directly to the bottling line on demand.
